He may not have meant it that way, but he did say it, which IMO, decreases his chances of her responding at all....even worse if a 'Twitter army' decides to take up the phrase and trend it, turning a cute request to a dance into a "date this guy or you hate the troops" attack... which could get out of hand in Twitter land, and get ugly.
They should have just left it as a cute request to a dance by a serviceman. I could see her being intrigued and responding...Add "support the troops", and Twitter 'pressure, then it becomes less cute, more a (mob) 'obligation', suddenly not so cute
