^ That Casey Twitter party is a good thing and a smart thing. Makes me wonder how many good and smart things Haley does that Casey does not do. I'm very thankful that Haley has such an awesome fanbase which does things that are smart for her gaining popularity in today's world. I'm also happy that the laws of our country still give us all the right to do things our own way, for the most part. And I admire the honorable way Haley does things. I hope she never feels that she owes people something because of their own choices of what they do and how they do it.

Don't get down Miguel. You are doing a great job. Haley is working very hard the last couple of years. I was glad to see her enjoying herself in the pool (looking fabulous).

I wonder how many people are employed dealing with Gaga's twitter account. You would spend a lifetime responding to half her followers single posts.

I looked at Lady Gaga's number of Tweets earlier. Everyone might be surprised to learn she has 1,100 fewer tweets than Casey. And 16,000 less than Bieber. In fact, she's only made about 800 more than Haley. With her, it seems to be quality over quantity. Lots of photos, some videos and the sharing of memories or current events.

Woohoo! Gold for the ladies! just want to squeeze them! So much talent and beauty. Did u seem all holding hands? There's no "I" in team.

Went for an MRI. No harm from the concussion but it appears my brain is just water and a large floating jellyfish.

Anyone hear the sigh of relief emitted by popstars worldwide when Adele announced her pregnancy? #ThatsTheTruthTea Congratulations gorgeous!

Looking at Bieber's Twitter account, he has a lot of tweets about rehearsal but most of his timeline is filled with retweets -- the easiest possible way to generate content and make fans feel special.

That does make a lot of sense (not that the other stuff doesn't)

Like I tell my kids, a smile is a gift that doesn't cost you anything and you won't run out of.

Still, I wouldn't claim to be an expert in marketing ... so many people are kinda vapid about listening to stuff other people would think they are cool to be listening to, on be turned off because a lot of teens liked something etc. (or that 40 year olds wanted to hear her sing Louis Armstrong covers) . I've always had a hard time understanding the minds of people who care a lot about if other people percieve them as hip etc... and those are a lot of potential customers/fans or record buyers or whatever you'd call them.

Still .. you had some concrete ideas there Miguel and ways to keep active and encouraging without alienating anyone.

Can't say anything wrong about apple pie or the Girls doing gymnatistics team , or womens soccer .. or going water skiing etc

People can be turned off by what teens are listening to. Others find they help them keep abreast of new artists/musical influences.

Just thinking back on my high-school years...I recall being introduced to Meat Loaf, Van Halen, Todd Rundgren and Rush through various acquaintances. Other acts I must have picked up by osmosis from them being played on the radio. The Internet makes it easier to spread new music by word of mouth now, so it makes sense to have a strategy designed to do that.

You are right. It looks like, after two years of hard work, she took a well-deserved vacation. Nothing wrong with that. But it would have been wise to first say something like, "Lolla was unbelievable. This whole experience has been incredible. Thanks for sharing this crazy ride with me. I'm going to take a break for a little R&R, catch up with old friends and recharge my batteries. See ya in two weeks."

If she had kept everyone in the loop, people would have been expressing their desire for her to have a good time. As it was, I was seeing tweets like, "r u ever gonna come back on? :/ " and "Nine freaking days!!!! You need to roll up in our lives...Now!" over the last week.

That's why I started to question her use of social media. Her management likely rolled out the picture a day because they noticed too.

^ I understand the Twitter concept; however, there will come a point when even this will morph into something else. Facebook has experienced the effect. I know many people that have gotten off Facebook in what could be described as the AI phenomenon. It starts, it becomes a big hit, people grow weary of the concept, a trend starts that labels it not cool anymore, it becomes old fashioned and cheesy, it ends up in the scrap heap of cultural trendiness.

I have many young nephews, nieces, and my kids that come over. We will be having a great family discussion going on...yet there will always be about 1/2 the young people looking at their phones instead of making eye contact or listening. They can't even be in the moment without being afraid they are missing something online. Wait until they have their own children and then we'll see what their communication priorities are.

Miguel's passion for helping Haley is commendable. If she had a thousand Miguels we wouldn't be having this discussion about lacking a big enough fan base. However, no one is hiring us to be a part of Haley's management team. If we are having this discussion, then her team of music professionals are certainly aware of the techniques necessary to enhance her career. Adele did not win 5 Grammies because she was great at tweeting with her fanbase...it's the musical talent in the end.

I think the comment Haley made to Miguel when he talked to her live in the photo op in Tyler, TX..."Oh, Mr. Questioner", after he had asked her a serious question during the Q&A portion earlier (and a good question it was), says a lot. We know Haley has that happy-go-lucky/Que Sera attitude. I just used Miguel's question as an example, this not directed at him, it is for all of us to consider. We cannot impose our good intentions on anyone. There needs to be a lighthearted hands-off approach in allowing someone to reach their ultimate potential. We are just fans, nothing more. We're not family, we're not management, we have no ownership stake. Enjoy the ride we take as fans, but keep the perspective that it should be fun and hold it loosely...no pressure here on our end.

Excellent point, Sir Buzz!
