Quote: Irish weather: Hurricane Gonzalo set to batter the country with very heavy wind and rain
...Met Eireann forecaster Vincent O’Shea said: “People are alarmed with news about the Hurricane on the way but today (mon) should fine, during daylight hours it won’t be too bad. It will be quite pleasant and mostly dry during the day.
“Tonight all areas will be effected, everywhere will be hit by rain and it will be worst in the west and northwest.
“We’re expecting 20 millimeters of rain to fall in most places over the next couple of days, there will possibly be flooding in some parts too.”
Marine areas will be rocked by strong winds.
Mr O’Shea explained: “It will be gale force eight at seas. There will be strong, gusty winds over land but it should be down to 60 kilometers per hour at the most.”
He added that this will continue into tomorrow (Tue).

Wonder how Gonzalo might affect their flight at 37,000 feet in the direct path. I'll be monitoring their trek on flightaware.com since I'm suppose to pick them up at O'hare tomorrow.
